Biography

2007 Hot Shot

Born September 1, 1959 in Kewaunee WI.

As a child spent many nights watching his step-father, Ken Zuege, race coupes at Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg, WI.

In the mid-80's, Brian started taking his son, Derrick, to watch Brian's good friend, Mike Bolm race IMCA modifieds at Luxemburg,Seymour and Manitowoc.

In 1990, Brian was given a chance to drive a Showroom Stock racecar at I-43 Raceway in Manitowoc.

Brian's first career feature win came in only his second night in that Showroom Stock.

Mike Bolm and crew built a street stock powered by an Al Zellner engine that carried him to the 1991 Rookie of the Year honors at Tri-Star Speedway in Luxemburg.

The first Track Championship came in 1993 at Tri-Star Speedway in the Street Stocks.

A move to IMCA Stock Cars in 1996 brought Rookie of the Year honors and a very strong third in points after leading most of the season.

The "Race for Fun Only" attitude in 2001 proved to be the right decision.

Career Championship number three came in 2006 at Shawano Speedway

Brian and family made their first trip to the IMCA Super Nationals at the end of 2006. It was a big learning experience.

IMCA selects the Bruechert Racing Stock Car as the 2007 October Woody's Hot Shot, Best Appearing Car

2007 car is pictured in Performance Bodies catalog

Car appears again in the Port City Racing catalog representing Terminator Chassis

December 13, 2007. IMCA announces that the Bruechert Racing Stock Car was selected as the Woody's Hot Shots, BEST APPEARING CAR OF THE YEAR !
