September 9, 2009 - Another Big Victory / Racing Update

Hi Everyone,
It’s been a while since the last update. Bruechert Racing took some time away from racing to attend our son’s graduation from basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He will be now be stationed at Fort Knox in Kentucky. While on leave I let him drive my car at Luxemburg on Aug. 28. He did very well in the heat race and then the rains came.
Last Friday my wife and I made the trip to Langlade Speedway in Antigo. The reason for going north instead of running Luxemburg was to get some seat time and try some new chassis setups for the upcoming Indian Summer Classic on Oct. 2 & 3. There’s a very nice payoff for this race. Things went well finishing second in the heat just behind the 3 time track champ. No damage and the new stuff worked good.
Sunday was the start of four special events remaining for Bruechert Racing in 2009. The race was the third of the Summer Holiday Classics at Seymour. The heat went well with a second place finish. The redraw put me 12th in the starting lineup for the feature. I quickly made my way to 5th. I then picked off a few more making it to second. I followed the leader for a while until I could make an inside move for the lead with 5 laps to go and went on to win. This is the second special event win for Bruechert Racing in 2009 and the first ever at Seymour. The win adds to a long list of feature wins at multiple tracks in WI. . Very special thanks to Dan at Bug Off Pest Control, LLC. who recently purchased 4 new tires for Bruechert Racing. I put them to good use Sunday. Also special thanks to my wife Karen. She was my entire crew both Friday and Saturday. Thanks to Terry H. for helping prep the car prior to the weekends racing.
The events Bruechert Racing is hoping to race yet in 2009 include Luxemburg on Sept. 18 & 19, Chilton on Sept. 25 & 26 and Antigo Oct. 2 & 3. These are all special events with very good payouts.
Thank you very much for your support,
Brian Bruechert
